What's It All
About Alfie?
The most important thing to remember
about Duckys Idol is that this is going to be a whole heap load
of fun!! Along the way, we're going to raise a lot of much
needed money for the Canadian Down Syndrome Society and give
some exposure to some new talent in the Calgary area - oh yeah,
they're going to win some pretty amazing prizes as well.
So, how do you get into this thing?
Well, if you like to watch singing competitions over a few pints,
just come on down. You won't regret it! If on the other hand, you
think you have the chops to land you on a beach in Mexico, then show
up for one of our auditions. All you have to do is fill out
our application, pay the entry fee (all of which is going to the
Down Syndrome Society) and sing your song.
Just to warn you
however, there is going to be some celebrities showing up throughout
the competition. As well, Calgary's media will be down periodically
and certainly through the finals taking pictures and shooting video.
So if you have a problem with being a celebrity yourself, this may
not be for you. If you're intimidated by intense fun or people
having more fun than should be legal, well again, this may not be
for you. If however none of this frightens you, come down. Come down
often, be early and prepare for the insanity!
Oh, and did we mention this is going to be
so much fun!!! |

And Also...
oh yeah, did we need to mention
again that the 2010 Ducky's Idol will be going to Mexico?
Included in the
trip, will be airfare for 2 to Cabo, accommodations with Casabella
Hotel and a day of deepsea fishing.
Spend a
fun-filled day going after marlin and tuna on the "Get
Naked"
a 50' sportfishing yacht sponsored by Rip's Bar & Grill...experience
the exhilaration of angling for your dinner and tackling the
elements of the Pacific Ocean. Draw straws and decide who will be
first in the 'fighting chair', strapped in while battling a striped
or blue marlin or a tuna...sushi anyone?"
Can you say wow!!
